Eat At Our Popular Restaurant!
Located near Uxmal, the restaurant at the Pickled Onion was voted the number one place to eat in Uxmal and along the Ruta Puuc by the readers of TripAdvisor!
The Pickled Onion Restaurant is open from 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM in the winter and 7:30 AM to 9:15 PM in the summer. The last dinner order at the restaurant is 8:30 PM in the winter and 9:15 PM in the summer.
Breakfast is served until 11:00 AM, featuring Yucatecan dishes such as Eggs Motuleño. We also feature Eggs a la Mexicana, Omelettes, and even eggs with the local Maya herb, Chaya. Breakfast can also include fresh juices, coffee, tea, hotcakes, eggs cooked to order and more… a great selection for a hearty meal to energize yourself before tramping through the ruins.
Lunch and Dinner feature our main menu with entrees, soups, salads and sandwiches. Main dishes include Yucatecan specialties such as Poc Chuc, Pollo Pibil and other local dishes you may not see on any other menu.
To accompany the great food, we serve a range of beverages, including beer, wine, cocktails and other alcoholic beverages.
Along the Ruta Puuc there are few places to eat, so we also offer picnic lunches. Please order the night before so we can freeze the bottled water included with your picnic, to help keep your food nice and cool.
We now serve a small selection of children’s meals. These are not on the menu, so just ask, as we are always willing to accommodate children as best we can.
Our menu is extensive, so come by and check us out!
